The Yarra Valley sits just 45 minutes east of Melbourne CBD, but it feels worlds away. Rolling vineyard hills, morning mist over the vines, golden afternoon light filtering through ancient gum trees, and some of Australia's most beautiful estate venues — the Yarra Valley has everything a wedding photographer could ask for.
We regularly travel to the Yarra Valley for weddings throughout the year, but autumn (March–May) is particularly spectacular. The changing foliage on the vines creates a warm, golden palette that photographs with cinematic depth. Spring (September–November) brings lush green hills and wildflower colour. Winter weddings in the Valley have a moody, romantic quality that's completely unique.
Every Yarra Valley wedding we photograph begins with a pre-wedding consultation where we discuss your venue, your timeline, and how to make the most of the light available on your day. We arrive early to walk the grounds and identify the best portrait locations — whether that's a particular row of vines at golden hour, a misty valley view at dawn, or a stone wall that catches the afternoon light perfectly.
